Some Snow Fun

Weather reports said we'd get snow and indeed we did. The boys and I went out and met up with the neighbors a little earlier. Keaton keeps talking about a happy snowman even though we weren't able to get the snow to stick together just the right way. Connor and Landon had a blast, hammering Chris with some snow balls. I even got bombed once or twice. I hate having to layer and bundle everyone up, but once we get out there we always have fun.

What a wonderful read!

Early yesterday morning I happened onto a new blog, well it isn't new but new to me. I had been hearing reading about Pioneer Woman, Pioneer Woman, Pioneer Woman in the blog posts of others and had no idea. As I was saying, I happend upon her blog yesterday and found one of the best reads, Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. Shortly after beginning to read the story, I was hooked. It was just like reading a book, except it was on the computer. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next.

In addition to Black Heels to Tractor Wheels, Pioneer Woman has so much more on her blog. She has some beatiful pictures, lots of recipes, and much more that I have yet to explore. Check out Pioneer Woman and let me know what you think.

Our view tonight had something to do with this picture....we watched my niece play basketball. I always try to get some good shots of her playing but this was the best one I got tonight. I think it is time that I get out the camera book and do a little reading. I am tired of not getting the shot I want during sporting events. I like my camera but there are days that I long for  a bigger and better model. I guess until I take the time to really figure out what this one can do, I need to forget about it. I'm sure that the one I have will do a better job if the user does a little studying. Until next time, I leave you with this photo of basketballs. I kinda like it.

It's Been A While

For someone like myself who has become so hooked on reading blogs and writing posts for blogs, I have been gone way too long. As usual returning to school after a break of any sort makes for some busy times. Throw in a birthday party and some basketball games and it's hard to find the time to post on a regular basis. So here I am finally tonight making the time to post picts from Connor's birthday party. He and his friends sure seemed to enjoy themselves.

I like to get a picture of Connor with each of the kids at his parties, but I failed to do that this year. Ooops. Maybe next time. In other news, Upward basketball season has started. I have attempted to get a few good shots, but I have captured one I'm ready to frame yet. I'll still share a few of what I have been able to get.

Until next time....

Hope for Haiti

Check out the jewelry at the Shawna's blog. Not only does she have some cute stuff, she is also donating to the people of Haiti. She is donating $10 from each {blessed or hope} necklace purchased to Compassion for Haiti disaster relief. As you probably know, Compassion International has made it really easy to donate through their website. Check it out.

Happy Birthday Connor

I wanted to post sooner but haven't been able to find the time to upload some pictures until now. We continued to be busy after Christmas. We brought in the New Year and celebrated Connor's ninth birthday on the same night. (His actual birthday is January 1st.) The Johnsons and the Sweenys came over for good fun. We had a great time.

With Connor's birthday being on New Year's Day, we thought we would go ahead and celebrate just a bit early with our family friends. On the 1st, the four of us headed out for lunch to celebrate. Angie, Jonathan, Codie and Ceceley were able to come down and have lunch with us on Sunday. Tomorrow  will end our birthday celebration spree. We have invited his buddies from school to a party at the bowling alley.

Happy, Happy 9th Birthday Connor!! We love you.
